2012 ONE27 Turkey Project

November begins one of the most exciting times of the year at New Passion. There is no greater time of the year for us as a church to practice the Revolutionary Compassion that we often talk about in our services and in our Community Groups. People have needs all throughout the year, but they tend to be enhanced during the holiday months.

New Passion is joining forces with United We Care again this Thanksgiving to provide 30 families a complete Thanksgiving meal. For $20, you can provide a whole turkey and all of the fixins to a family who is in desperate financial need within our community. 100% of all donations will go directly to United We Care for this project.

How Can I Help?

We are glad you asked! You can donate $20 for every meal that you would like to provide for a family in the following ways:

  • Check – Please memo “ONE:27 Turkey Project”
  • Cash – Please use an offering envelope on Sunday and write “ONE:27 Turkey Project” on the “Other” line.
  • Online through PayPal

Thank You New Passion Church and CSRA

I would like to personally thank those at New Passion Church and in the CSRA who stepped up big over the weekend to help tornado victims in Ringgold, Georgia.

The results of your generosity resulted in filling up a 12-foot enclosed trailer and the back storage compartment of a Chevy Tahoe with bottled water, chain saws, work gloves, and other work supplies along with a bunch of personal items like diapers, baby wipes, deodorant, tooth paste, etc.

My family at New Passion never cease to amaze me at your desire to share revolutionary compassion with those who are in distress. This has been a part of our DNA since before we launched the church. Although we are young and small, we have tried our best to answer every opportunity that is presented to us to help people! It’s encouraging that with every opportunity you all go to a whole new level in your sacrifice for others.

The reality is, it’s not over! The people of Ringgold, Georgia and the surrounding areas still need our help. We are currently working to secure a more prominent location to collect supplies this weekend along with the ability to transport more supplies for phase two. It is imperative that you continue to spread the word, stay up-to-date on the needed supplies and if you haven’t contributed already, be sure to help this weekend, of course, if you’ve contributed already but would like to do more, you are more than welcome to do more! Go to http://newpassionchurch.com/relief and stay up-to-date with the current information and be sure to email it, tweet it, post it, or tell it!

Shine On!

Ringgold Tornado Relief

It was around this time last year we were rallying everyone together to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people of Nashville as they were facing the aftermath of a 100 year flood. Today, we are asking you to step-up again and to help those within our own state who have been devastated by one of the hundreds of tornadoes that touched down in the South over the last few days.

We have set-up a relief page to give you all of the information you need to donate supplies and finances to help with this cause. It is in the darkest moments of people’s lives that the light of Jesus gets to shine the brightest. New Passion, let’s step-up and sacrifice for our fellow citizens and friends in Ringgold, Georgia and the surrounding areas. We definitely want you to keep these people in your prayers, but these are the moments we don’t have to pray about helping.

Please visit the Tornado Relief Page to get involved right away!

Thank you for your compassion and your generosity.

New Passion Church Easter Recap

Yesterday was a pretty exciting day at New Passion. It was Easter, the day our Savior Jesus, rose from the dead to redeem us from our sins; that alone was all we needed to celebrate. Today, we continue to celebrate as we saw the largest attendance in New Passion’s history! There were children everywhere. It’s remarkable how many 3-4 year old’s our church already has with our regular people and then you add guests to that equation and they were busting at the seams. Having a lot of people in service is always a great thing, but we have even better news to celebrate, 5 people placed their faith in Jesus during the service, while a couple more people asked for information concerning salvation and baptism.

That’s what Easter is all about, Jesus offering hope and new life to a bunch of hopeless and helpless people. Next week we continue the celebration as we will be baptizing anyone believer who would like to follow Jesus in obedience by making a public profession of their faith in him. If you would like to be baptized you can register online.
