Ringgold Tornado Relief Effort Phase Two

Last Sunday night we filled up a a 12-foot enclosed trailer and the back storage area of a Chevy Tahoe with supplies for Ringgold, Georgia and delivered it to Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring, Georgia right outside of Ringgold.

This weekend is phase two of our Ringgold Tornado Relief Effort. We are continuing our partnership with Peavine Baptist Church to assist them in directly distributing and serving their community. With Peavine on the ground in the area they can be more effective in helping their neighbors since they are more familiar with their community and the specific needs of the people affected by the tornado.

New Passion Church Easter Recap

Yesterday was a pretty exciting day at New Passion. It was Easter, the day our Savior Jesus, rose from the dead to redeem us from our sins; that alone was all we needed to celebrate. Today, we continue to celebrate as we saw the largest attendance in New Passion’s history! There were children everywhere. It’s remarkable how many 3-4 year old’s our church already has with our regular people and then you add guests to that equation and they were busting at the seams. Having a lot of people in service is always a great thing, but we have even better news to celebrate, 5 people placed their faith in Jesus during the service, while a couple more people asked for information concerning salvation and baptism.

That’s what Easter is all about, Jesus offering hope and new life to a bunch of hopeless and helpless people. Next week we continue the celebration as we will be baptizing anyone believer who would like to follow Jesus in obedience by making a public profession of their faith in him. If you would like to be baptized you can register online.
