The Grove

What To Expect:

Check-In:

The Grove is divided into three age categories; 1. Babies 2. Crawler/new walkers and 3. Pre-K.

At the time of check-in, a trained leader will greet you. First time families will need to fill out a PassionKidz registration card, so please arrive in plenty of time to complete this card and make it to the adult worship service. We ask all parents of children in our PassionKidz environments to provide us with a cell phone number that you have in your possession. In the event we need to contact you during service, we will send you a text message. (Remember to leave your cellular phone on vibrate/silence during the service.) A leader will apply an adhesive name tag to your child’s clothing. You will be given a matching tag. This tag will need to be presented at the time of pick up. Your child will not be released without presentation of the corresponding tag.

As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long and separation becomes easier over time. Our caring leaders will immediately try to soothe your child while assuring them that you will return soon. If your child cries for an extended period of 10 minutes, we will text you.

What To Bring:

When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following items:

  1. Two or three disposable diapers. Please no cloth diapers.
  2. Pacifier or other item should your child need it for security.
  3. A complete change of clothes.
  4. A bottle of milk, formula, juice or water. (This is a good practice even for mothers who nurse.)

Please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name before arriving at your child’s class.

Curriculum:

We offer age appropriate curriculum. The curriculum contains the following structure based on age: play centers and crafts, Bible story with a themed memory verse; sing-a-long, and snacks.

Pre-K: There may be an occasion where your child will travel to the outside to the playground, weather permitting. Please send your child with a sweater for cooler days.

Snacks:

Snacks are provided for your child once they graduate to the crawler/new walker classroom. The food items consist of “Cheerios” or a similar snack for crawlers and vanilla wafers or a similar snack for our new walkers and toddlers. Please inform the leader if your child has any food allergies.

Your Child’s Health:

We operate a well-baby program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry, we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for helping us to keep our PassionKidz program a healthy place.
